I believe this sort of marks the end of 3 years of what I like to call Zenith. Well, what started out as mVp.
Well, fuck sentimentality.
Experiences gained through these past 3 years are actually book-writing worthy. Events have happened which I know precisely what and why to feel about, and then some of which I don't exactly know why I have certain reactions to, or perhaps risk a reaction that would best be left not provoked into being.
I'm annoyed with a lot of things I don't say. I'm pretty sure many of you are annoyed at roughly similar things and don't say them either, and I'm also pretty sure some of you are annoyed at those who express their annoyance. So in light of all the recent more controversial items I have written, this could be a nice finale.
Often one blogs when one lacks a personal vent about a personal problem. This rant involves general community issues that I have personal grievances about, for a reason that I chose not to express at any other time and will probably never express in public again because it simply isn't very logical, and definitely not very nice. Most of what is written below can be instinctively responded with a "go fuck yourself" if it was an article written with equal weight on public input (i.e. a forum). Luckily, when it comes to this blog, MY VOICE IS LARGER!
Although a comment could be rather long.
And any other members of the blog can post equally heavily weighted responses.

So, good morning Singapore.
Apparently The New Paper can squeeze in one entire week's worth of articles simply about Singaporeans not returning their trays. I call this "incessant ethical whining". Then we have people perpetually complaining about the Singaporean online community being too immature, or generally retarded in nature. Same thing.
The problem having grievances with a general community is that the only way to do anything about it is to whine. Whining being a very appropriate term here since one basically complains about a problem with absolutely no productive input nor constructive point. So yes, I'm whining about people who whine. Specifically on all those complains about "EVERYWHERE I GO PEOPLE ARE BM!!" or "SG Pubs suck so many leavers" etc. Hypocritical as it may seem, just because I'm whining about whining doesn't mean that I'm telling people not to whine. Heck, whining here seems the only option when dealing with some issues, but isn't all that whining worth whining about?
Next up, you are not the God of DotA. More often than not, if someone disagrees with you, he ACTUALLY THINKS HE IS RIGHT. *GASP*.
Now, that's a concept that most people would love to subscribe to, but DON'T!
The greatest thing about DotA is that you can always think you are God simply because when anything goes wrong you can blame your teammates. Most of the time. Heck, most of the time you don't even know what the hell went wrong.
You can never be better than the God of DotA, because the beauty of it is that you're only as good as you think you are. Or as good as others think you are, but you can always ignore that.
Feedback is not entertained by God. Ladies and gentlemen, the proper human response to a tip such as "I think you should have stopped farming and camped here" is not "fuck you cheebye". The stubborn one might go "NO!". The righteous paladin might defend his actions. The cooperative one might just reflect upon it.
And on the other hand, never underestimate the power of a God of DotA in simply telling you that you are wrong, dumb, ugly, and have absolutely no power over him whatsoever. Do not be deceived by that ever-so-sarcastic "Oh you are right I am wrong I suck you own yes yes ok ok".
Sometimes, time does not permit for feedback and discussion, but mere mortals do not deserve to face the wrath of a God of DotA for every sacrilegious statement.
At this point I would like to dedicate a short segment to the people who believe that they represent public opinion about themselves. And as an extension, some people even tell you that what you are feeling is bullshit. Not the "Oh, it's pretty damn wrong to feel good when your teacher dies" people. More of the "You're NOT FEELING GOOD. You say you're feeling good? YOU'RE WRONG. WRONG!" Kind.
As a general rule, it's quite difficult to be wrong when it comes to self-expression. One can only be horrendously vague, irrelevant, whiny, imprecise, and well, imprecise. It's pretty hard to be detectably wrong.
Bleh.

Oh, dare I whine about GIRL GAMERS?
Now that's something I'll probably not post on public domain...
But oh, there are enough whiny things to whine about from all the people one meets both online and offline in the DotA community. Enough to fill mostly the same space that has been filled in this entry. Hopefully I have something more substantial to write about, but since I play so little DotA and think about all the happenings so much, articles of this nature are generally bound to be more common.

the Argument:
fyi, garena sg rooms 3 and 4 have a strict banning system.
unintentional leaving = 7 days
intentional leaving = 30 days
and there are other banning time frames for repeated offenders.
nick, aka aod-jehovah was the one who introduced me to these rules for the rooms, and i so far, have only banned those who left in my games, or leavers in games that other admins are in.
i do not think i'm unreasonable as an admin, i have unbanned a couple of people who came back with their reasons.
bottom line is, i'm not being paid to do this. i gain nothing from this, other than a sense of satisfaction that i'm cleaning out the leavers from the rooms, and making the community a better place to game.
i don't need anyone's respect, in fact, being an admin is a dirty job, and you're likely to get beaten up/sworn at/bm-ed more frequently then anyone else in the room.
i'd like to think, that the leaver situation in room 3 and 4 has improved dramatically. there are actually entire games that i can sit through, which are 5v5 to the end.
and that, makes me, and my fellow room 3 and 4-ers HAPPY.

It feels like a pretty uneventful weekend, and then I realise that IT'S NOT A WEEKEND AT ALL!!

And I have forgotten totally what WGT was like. Hurhur.
